Along with the tourism sector as a whole, the glamping industry has been immeasurably affected by the Coronavirus crisis. It is vitally important, as a key component of the future of sustainable tourism in the UK, that glamping is given the best possible opportunity for survival as we prepare for businesses to start to reopen.
We, as Canopy & Stars, have written to a core group of MPs representing the tourism industry in the UK, to call for glamping spaces to be given flexibility to open when it is safe and not subject to a ‘one size fits all’ approach to hospitality businesses;. We are also asking for better support packages for the independent rural entrepreneurs and sustainable tourism champions who have created and operate the glamping sector.
The more voices supporting the cause, the more chance we have to be heard, you can join us is writing to your own MP, explaining your own personal circumstances and why the issue matters to you, the tourism industry and the rural economy.
